We work as a core team of doctors, nurses, health care assistants, receptionists, secretaries, and dispensers who are employed by the Caythorpe & Ancaster Practice. We have close links with an extended team of District Nurses, Health Visitors and Macmillan Nurses who are not employed directly by the practice.

Dr Wiktor Zbrzezniak (m)
BSc, MB, BS, DCH, FRCGP  Registered with the GMC 1985 (Reg No. 3079403) Dr Zbrzezniak is our senior partner. He qualified in London in 1985 and trained as a GP within the Lincolnshire Vocational Training Scheme. He became a partner in the practice in 1992. He is the executive partner and closely involved with practice management. He is also involved in the practice Quality and Outcome Framework (QOF) / long term condition management, is responsible for practice data governance, and organising practice NHS Health checks. He has a special interest in diabetes, vascular disease and chronic obstructive airways disease (COPD). Dr Zbrzezniak is available for consultations on Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday and Friday.

Dr Simon Robinson (m)
BMedSci, BM, BS, DRCOG, MRCGP Registered with the GMC 1996 (Reg No. 432900) Dr Robinson qualified from Nottingham in 1996. He was a GP registrar in the practice before becoming a partner. He is the practice lead for prescribing and dispensing. He is also a GP trainer and is involved in the professional development of GP registrars attached to the practice. Dr Robinson is available for consultations on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Dr Rhian Thomas (f)
MB, ChB, DFSRH, DRCOG, MRCGP - Edinburgh
 Registered with the GMC 2009 (Reg No. 7041408) Dr Thomas qualified from Edinburgh in 2009. She was a GP registrar in the practice before returning as an associate GP in 2015. In addition to her overall GP role she has specific expertise in female reproductive health care/contraception and fits both contraceptive implants and coils. Dr Thomas is available for consultations on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. |

Dr Richard Gent (m)
MB, BCH, DRCOG, MADFFP, MRCGP Registered with the GMC 1986 (Reg No. 3135710) Dr Gent qualified from Oxford in 1986. Having worked as a GP in the Royal Navy he became an associate GP in 2010. He is the practice expert on our clinical software system, SystmOne. In addition to his GP role he has additional qualifications and expertise in Occupational Medicine. He has a specific interest in musculoskeletal medicine and does joint / soft tissue injections. Dr Gent is available for consultations on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Registered with the GMC 2008 (Reg no 6150401) Dr Prabhu qualified from India in 1990 and has trained as a GP in Lincolnshire. She has an MD degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from India and has a special interest in sexual health and contraception. Dr Prabhu is available for consultations on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday |

Nurses
Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, immunisations, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears. |

Healthcare Assistants
Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement, ECGs and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one. |

Practice Management
Mr Adrian Down (m)
Adrian is our practice manager and became a non-clinical partner in August 2017. He is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. He supports the GPs and all other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helping to develop extended services to enhance patient care. As a non-clinical partner he is also involved in the longer term strategic planning of the practice and implementing NHS policy. |

Mrs Hayley Chappell (f)

Hayley is our office manager. She has overall responsibility for all reception and secretarial staff across both sites of the practice |
Reception
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They perform many other tasks such as the processing and filing of cliinical correspondence. |
Health Visitors
A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing. |
Macmillan Nurses
Macmillan nurses offer advice, information and support to people with cancer. They help them make informed decisions about their treatment, and guide them through the maze of different services. Macmillan Nurses Factsheet |
Dispensers
Mrs Margaret Pacey (f)

Mrs Margaret Pacey is our Dispensary Manager. She is a registered Pharmacy Technician. Margaret has a vast experience in all aspects of dispensing. She is responsible for both Caythorpe and Ancaster dispensaries, the dispensary staff, stock control and everything else relating to the smooth running of the dispensaries. She is a qualified NVQ assessor and takes a particular interest and pride in training new dispensers. |
