Building work Caythorpe

As a Practice team we always welcome the feedback we receive from you as patients and users of the services we provide. The vast majority of this is positive we are extremely grateful for this but we are also grateful where you explain the challenges you face and let us know where we could do better.

You often tell us about the high quality of service you receive from the dispensary team and how friendly and helpful they are but you can be frustrated by delays in receiving your medication.

There are a number of factors affecting this but a significant part of the this comes down to the space we have available to dispense medication.

The majority of this dispensing takes place at Ancaster and is then delivered to Caythorpe. This has worked well for us over the years but with growth in the number of items we dispense monthly we have had to look for solutions to improve this.

This has been a long-term plan which we are starting to put into effect this week. Over the weekend builders started working at Caythorpe to switch the space used by the reception and dispensary teams. With the extra space this will create we will be able to dispense all of Caythorpe’s items from Caythorpe and have much more space for the team to work in. This will also benefit Ancaster patients as it will reduce the number of items dispensed from that site.

We believe in supporting local businesses and will be working with our long-term partners T Balfe Construction to complete this work quickly and efficiently.

Inevitably there will be some disruption at Caythorpe over the next few weeks and we apologise in advance for this.

We promise that staff at the Practice will do everything they can to minimise this disruption and the benefits will more than make this worth while and we want to thank you in advance for your understanding and support whilst this work takes place.
