If you are over 65 or have certain medical conditions you are eligible for a free flu vaccination at the surgery. If you have not yet booked this we would urge you to do so. It is a quick and painless way to protect your health and that of your loved ones over the winter and all of the staff at the Practice would encourage you to do so.
As in previous years whilst our flu clinics are taking place the volunteers who are part of our Medical Equipment Trust and our Patient Participation Group have come together to run a grand draw raffle to raise money to buy equipment, not usually funded by the NHS, to provide care to patients.
The volunteers give up their time willingly to help others and if you feel able to support this excellent cause then you will be offered raffle tickets when you come for your flu jab, just like last year the prizes are fabulous.
Not only are we asking your support for medical equipment but at the same time October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. As many of you will know the Practice lost a dear member of the family Michelle earlier this year and we are aiming between us (with Dr Watt doing most of the work) to walk / run / jog / crawl 1,000km as a Practice during October.
If you are able to support this great charity we would be incredibly grateful, we know that times are hard for everyone right now and if you cannot give but would be happy to share this post to raise awareness that would be great.
