Flu Update 2nd Nov 2021

You may have seen in the media some of the challenges that have been faced with this year’s flu vaccination campaign due to delivery issues.

Unfortunately a delivery of the vaccine for patients who are under 65 that we were expecting last Friday did not arrive. We were then promised that this would arrive yesterday and this has frustratingly now been moved to Wednesday. Despite every effort to hold our supplier to the agreed dates we have therefore had to cancel the flu clinic that was taking place this afternoon (Tuesday 2^nd Nov).

All patients booked in have been sent a text message apologising and also the opportunity to book themselves in to a flu clinic on Saturday the 13^th Nov. We are very sorry to anyone affected by this sadly it was entirely out of our control. We would urge you to rebook your appointment at the surgery rather than book elsewhere, these vaccines have been specifically ordered for our patients and we certainly wouldn’t want them to go to waste.
