Caythorpe & Ancaster Medical Equipment Trust

Over 30 years ago a group of patients came together to hold a coffee morning to raise money to purchase equipment not normally provided by the NHS to enhance the care of patients.

They were so successful in raising funds that they formalised their ongoing activities into an independent charitable trust which became known as the Caythorpe & Ancaster Medical Equipment Trust.

30 years on and with the support of the local community the trust has provided tens of thousands of pounds of equipment to the Practice that would not normally be available ranging from a van to deliver medication to patients, to ECG equipment, home blood pressure monitors and emergency care equipment.

The trust is totally independent of the Practice and run by patients. Each year as part of their fund raising activity the Trust hold a Grand Draw with some brilliant prizes on offer.
