Insulin pen recall

We have received a safety update affecting certain batches of NovoRapid FlexTouch 100unit/ml and Saxenda FlexTouch 6mg/ml pre-filled pen devices. Fortunately, a very small number of pens are affected – only 2-3 pens per million. The affected pens do not allow a dose to be selected and therefore will not deliver any insulin. The pens are NOT being recalled, but please ensure you follow the usual guidance by always carrying a spare pen with you. If you have a defective pen, then please return it to our Dispensary and order a replacement as soon as possible.
