Medication recall
Posted on June 21st, 2021
You may have seen in the news there have been two drug recalls recently:
1. Co-codamol 30/500 effervescent tablets (this only applies to soluble tablets, not the standard tablets or capsules). The The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) who regulate medicines in the UK have reported some batches may contain too little or too much codeine. We have already contacted all affected patients.
2. Irbesartan and Irbesartan containing products / losartan 50mg/losartan 100mg.
Specific batches of these medicines have been recalled due to the presence of an impurity. This recall is a precaution; MHRA advice is to continue taking the medication you already have at home.
If the situation changes, please be reassured we will contact any affected patents as required.
