Car-park service

A great deal has changed over the last 3 months not least of which is the way we as a practice interact with patients.

We have worked hard to ensure we do our best to keep patients and our colleagues who care for patients as safe as we possibly can.

Some of those changes have been relatively easy to make and will have long-term benefits so will remain in the future, others have been more complex and those resources could be better deployed elsewhere.

We have constantly assessed and tweaked the way that we work to use the resources available to us to give the best possible care that we can.

One major change we made towards the end of March to ensure the safety of patients was a car-park delivery service for our dispensary.

This has been an excellent service for the short-term but as you may imagine puts a significant additional burden onto our very busy dispensary team.

We have therefore introduced measures such as asking patients to attend the surgery wearing a face covering, fitting new screens to our dispensary counters and ensuring that staff assisting patients at the counter are wearing face masks. We believe that these measures mean it is safe for patients to return to collecting their prescriptions within the surgery.

The car-park collection service ceases at Ancaster from Monday 22^nd June and at Caythorpe from Monday 29^th June.

Patients will still receive a text message to inform them when their prescription is ready to collect and we ask that you wear a face covering when collecting and maintain the usual 2m social distancing.
