Caythorpe & Ancaster Medical Practice is delighted to announce the results of the recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection, which reflects the dedication, professionalism, and compassionate care provided by our team. The Practice has been rated overall as Good, with several key areas recognised as Outstanding, an exceptional achievement and testament to the hard work of our staff and the engagement of our local community.
The CQC highlighted our Practice’s outstanding work in delivering evidence-based care and treatment, with experts praising our commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and improvement. Our in-house training programs and reflective debrief sessions provide clinicians with valuable opportunities to develop their skills, ensuring that we consistently offer the highest quality of care tailored to each individual.
Our leadership team was also rated outstanding, recognised for their clear vision, open and honest approach, and unwavering support to colleagues. The CQC commended the compassionate and inclusive culture fostered throughout the practice, which extends beyond the workplace to support even former staff during difficult life events.
An exceptional area of achievement was our responsiveness to patient feedback. The CQC noted the “overwhelming” response from patients during the inspection, reflecting the strong, collaborative relationship we maintain with our community. Our active Patient Participation Group (PPG) plays a vital role in helping the practice evolve and meet the needs of those we serve.
Our approach to equity in access is also noteworthy. The CQC singled out our innovative appointment system, which ensures people can easily access care when they need it, whether urgent or routine. This system has been showcased as a case study, the ‘Caythorpe Model of Care’, demonstrating how patient-centred service and thoughtful demand management can lead to excellent outcomes.
We are immensely grateful to all members of our team, whose hard work, professionalism, and kindness are clearly reflected in this report. Their dedication to delivering excellent care each day continues to make a real difference to our patients’ wellbeing.
We also thank the patients of Caythorpe & Ancaster Medical Practice for their active participation in the inspection process and ongoing support. Your feedback and partnership are essential to our success and the continuous improvement of our services.
Together, we are proud to provide a practice where quality, compassion, and innovation come together to serve our community.
